Savannah, GA 📍

Celebration city has been so good to us! Today, our team threw a kindness rally in downtown Savannah. We split into groups and thought of ways we could serve the people in the community. From giving out free hugs, to encouraging others, to rock paper scissors challenges, we have SO many stories of the impact that random kindness had on the people we met.

A big #yeahbuddy to the people of Savannah for all the conversations and smiles that happened today! Time to celebrate! ...

Rolling out of our final mystery city!

This morning, we got to serve with St. John’s Riverkeeper, an organization that protects and restores the St. John’s River, and educates the community of Jacksonville about conservation! We got to pick up litter, and we even got to tour the Jacksonville Arboretum. A big #yeahbuddy for our friends at St. John’s Riverkeeper!

Thanks a ton, Wilmington, NC!

We arrived in Wilmington last night and had a chance to explore the Wilmington Riverwalk before our team time. This morning, we got to serve with Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry at a home in the community. We raked the yard, demolished some old stairs, cut lumber, and cleared lots of old lumber and trash from the property. We especially loved spending time with our WARM field supervisors and meeting the homeowner we served!

Saying “see ya later” to City 3!

This morning, our team served at Mental Health America in Greenville! We went to one of the residential spaces where MHA provides apartments for people with chronic mental illness. We cleaned empty apartments for new tenants, sanded and stained furniture, trimmed trees and hedges, and picked up trash. We also got a chance to hear more about MHA’s national and local programs to care for those with mental illnesses.

That’s a wrap on City #2!

Today we got to serve at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens! We spread pine straw throughout the mulched areas of the parking lot and gardens to get the property ready for more guests this spring. Giving a yeah buddy to our friends at the Botanical Gardens!

Giving a big Yeah Buddy to our friends at Urban Bicycle Food Ministry who we served with in Memphis today! We rode bikes downtown handing out food to friends in the street, organized and cleaned part of their facility, and assembled hygiene kits for future rides. Grateful for our time at UBFM!
